Committees

Faculty Council

The Faculty Council is the most important body of the faculty. It is established in all faculties in the form of the Grand Faculty Council. It is composed of the Faculty Board, all (other) professors of the faculty, 7 students (9 in larger faculties), 3 representatives of the academic mid-level faculty, and one person from technical and administrative staff. The Grand Faculty Council is responsible for advising on all matters of the faculty of fundamental importance, approving the structural and development plans of the faculty, approving the establishment, modification, and dissolution of faculty facilities, approving the study and examination regulations of the faculty, proposing the composition of an appointment committee for the appointment of a new professor, and approving the appointment proposal of the appointment committee.

Current members: Eva Ehmann, Kaja Gebhard, Linus Zuber, Maxime Götz, Michelle Hüsler, Simon Köhler, Shams Masoud (Geodesy)

Current deputy members: Johannes Schmid, Frederik Hemminger, Silas Weismann, Julius Neubarth (Geodesy), Janis Kelbetz

You can reach the members and deputy members at fakrat@flurus.de.

Study Committee

The Study Committee (LRT) is the advisory body of the Grand Faculty Council for the area of teaching (in Aerospace Engineering). The Study Committee develops proposals for the further development and improvement of the study program and its content. Examination regulations and their amendments are drafted by this committee. Furthermore, it is responsible for deciding on the distribution of decentralized tuition fees. However, all decisions must be approved by the Grand Faculty Council.

The Study Committee consists of 3 professors including the Dean of Studies as chair, 3 mid-level faculty representatives, and 4 students. Additionally, the program manager of LRT and the academic study advisor are permanent guests. Due to this composition, the Study Committee is the body with the greatest student influence.

Current members: Janis Kelbetz, Jasper Opitz, Linus Zuber, Julia Ostheim
You can reach the members at stuko@flurus.de.

Examination Committee

The Examination Committee (PA) deals with all decisions regarding examination matters, but not the evaluation of examinations. It also monitors compliance with the examination regulations and advises the rector in matters of appeal.

The Examination Committee consists of members of the professorship, the mid-level faculty, and several student members, who, however, do not have voting rights in decisions but only serve in an advisory capacity.

Current members: Kai Schollenberger and Eva Ehmann
You can reach the members at pruefungen@flurus.de.

Master’s Admission Committee

The Master’s Admission Committee is responsible for processing applications for the Master’s program in Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc.) and deciding on admissions. Members include professors, academic staff, and two students. The students are elected at the student council meeting.

Current members: Kai Schollenberger and Maxime Götz
